Sending time with my boys watching Halloween movies is one of my favorite things to do! We love to bring our foods and drinks that fit the mood. I found this great drink, Flying Cauldron Butterscotch Beer..the name just screams Halloween!
Some wizards claim that this brew places a ward of protection on those who drink it and that consuming this product has been known to accelerate wizarding abilities in borderline wizard cases.
This delicious beverage is the first wizarding drink to have widespread cross over consumption in the non wizarding world.

I recently found some at my local World Market, and didn’t buy enough to begin with…but when I went back they were all sold out! These drinks were flying off the shelves (pun intended)! I had to order more for our weekend of Harry Potter! They were a perfect addition to our Harry Potter marathon…The kids loved drinking them out of the bottle, but I had to put mine into a mug and add some “froth” to it..lol..adding food and drink to your movies really ups the experience and makes memories that will last a lifetime!
If you find some in your local store buy at least 12! I’m telling you they are popular and go quickly! You can also purchase them online which might be the way to go at this point…

The boys absolutely LOVED the Despicable Me movies…so I knew they would like the Minions movie. They’ve actually been asking when it comes out…and it’s been all my little one has watched for the past week! No really, like 2-3 times a day.
The movie opens at the dawn of time and the birth of the minions’. Then whisks us through their history and all the screw ups with various villains throughout the ages. After traveling through the centuries, the movie settles down in the late 1960s where we meet Scarlet Overkill (Sandra Bullock). You can expect plenty of pop culture references, lots of explosions and a great soundtrack with classic tracks from The Beatles, The Doors & The Rolling Stones. The Minions get plenty of song-and-dance numbers to these classics.
I’m not much into slapstick, which is prob why these movies aren’t on my top 10 fave list. Because of the Minions…well, language & communication skill, just like in the Despicable Me movies expect a lot of slap stick comedy. Now my husband and the boys love slap stick and the movie had them laughing over and over. Overall I thought it was entertaining and had it’s funny moments…And I know my kiddos would agree with me.

Our family loves their music…we have many many songs downloaded and many speakers to listen to them on. Train is one of those bands that we listen to often so you can imagine I was excited to hear about their seventh studio album, Bulletproof Picasso, released 9/16/14. I have listened to it for a few days now and I must say I LOVE this album. It fits right in to our collection nicely.
The album’s first single, “Angel In Blue Jeans,” has soared to the Top 15 of Triple A and Adult Top 40 radio in only a month, joining the band’s successful arsenal of other radio-embraced singles throughout their two-decade career. I have include the video below for your listening pleasure.
As soon as I start playing them my little one starts swaying and moving…you know its good! Bulletproof Picasso was produced by previous Train collaborator Butch Walker, and reflects frontman-singer/songwriter Pat Monahan’s penchant for distinctive musical stylings on this one. I loved all the songs & don’t nessesarly have a favorite because they are all great.
“I’ve always wanted to emotionally connect with people through the songs,” says Monahan. “But I also want to get into people’s lives with this album. We’re very excited about Bulletproof Picasso and we’re looking forward to performing some of the new songs for all our fans.”

It’s almost time for school! A little less than a month to go, so what does that mean? Back to School shopping!
