Wanting to be an ally to a struggling friend or relative is a beautiful start, but it doesn’t necessarily mean you’re going to be helpful past your intent. After all, you may wish to simply help them live life by taking care of everything for them, only to realize that this is suppressing their growth and even enabling their habit. Sometimes tough love is needed, and sometimes it is not. With our following advice, you should be able to navigate this confusing space with care and compassion:
Be Objective & Reasonable
Be as objective and as reasonable as you can be when communicating with them. Instead of blaming them for acting differently, trying to guilt-trip them or come across as aggressive, be firm and fair with your responses. Let them know that you are concerned about them, an that you’re here for them. Don’t sugarcoat the work that may need to be done, or how you hope for them to recover. It can sometimes be that having an objective and totally honest friend like this could be the most hopeful part of their lives right now.
Help Them Help Themselves
You cannot help someone who refuses to help themselves, but if they are willing to try, this can be a fantastic thing to consider. Remember, recovery is rarely linear, but it can be that when struggling they learn to slowly get stronger each time they try. Driving them to the Doctor, or to their job shifts to help settle their debts, or helping them write a CV and allow them to practice their interview technique could help them gain that vital first step out towards achieving their independence once more.
Recommend Professional Help
Sometimes, a friend truly needs professional help. If addicted to a harmful substance, for example, there’s no much you can do as a friend who maybe untrained in such matters. It could be helping them take that first step to a heroin addiction treatment center, for example, will set events in motion that lend to their recovery, potentially even saving their life. Sometimes, alongside their family, it’s important to apply tough love and to put them in the right circumstances for help, without force or aggression, but with a caring and loving attitude. This can help you also lose some of the impossible burdens you may have otherwise placed on yourself – as you need to take care of your life too.
With this advice, we hope you can be a great friend to a struggling individual – just as you intend to be.

There has been many bath and beauty products over the years geared towards women, teens, and young girls but all the products seem to be the same old thing and have bored a few young girls so much they decided to take matters into their own hands and create a product that not only makes you smell good, but makes you feel good too.
Angels and Tomboys was created by Madison Star & Mallory Iyana after being bored senseless with their body care products.
We had this cool idea to make everyday products that girls use fun. We came up with fun names, characters and unique fragrances for these products and pitched the idea to our mom. She loved it and the rest is history in the making. Our mom named the company Angels and Tomboys as a reflection of our unique and complex personalities and interests. We’re just like every girl in the world because ALL girls are created equally different. Plus, we can all agree that every Angel has a bit of Tomboy in her.

She likes to collect purses, stickers and bottle caps and can dance, sing and act…She is an honor student, who loves to give back.
Not only does my company donate a portion of proceeds to non profit organizations that focuses on the well-beings of girls, I also volunteer throughout my community and every year for my birthday party I ask attendees to gift me with an item that I can donate to charity. Thus far I’ve donated hundreds of coats and shoes to a women’s shelter in my hometown, Memphis.
Mallory Iyana, born Nov 22, love racing, playing video games, baking cookies & cakes, making mini movie videos, ice skating, basketball,exercising and the color blue. She likes to collect hot wheels and can dance, tumble, sing/rap & act…She is an honor student, who loves to give back.

About the product:
I was sent 3 delicious scents to try out…Deep Fried Ice Cream, Cotton Candied Apples, & Adventures. But they have so many other scents that will appeal to any personality like Rockin’ Blueberry, Lemonade Doughnuts, & Watermelon Funk just to name a few. I don’t have any girls of my own, but I have three nieces who absolutely love these and will totally be spoiled with whatever scents they want. They come in lotions & body sprays and smell, well, amazing! I’m actually wearing the Cotton Candied Apples right now and can’t stop smelling myself.

Candy is of course right at the top of the list when it comes to Valentine’s Day gifts. However, it would be such an amazing expression of your love to make these sweet treats at home. Your hard work will be recognized and enjoyed that much more. Here are some ideas to make your heart and taste buds flutter.
A classic in the world of homemade cookies, sugar cookies are a great way to start off your Valentine’s Day morning. Simple, chewy, delicious and oh-so-addictive, bring a plate of these up to your sweetheart’s bedside and watch their eyes light up. Sugar cookies have a soft center, a crunchy outer rim and a great uplifting layer of royal icing. It’s one of the easiest cookies to make. Follow this 7-step process to make your own at home. This cookie has one secret up its sleeve. You can customize the recipe to whatever you like. As you mix the cookie dough, take the opportunity to throw in any kind of extract you want. The most popular is vanilla extract, but alternatively, you can use, lemon extract, orange zest, lime zest, pumpkin spice and a generous shaving of nutmeg.
Serve with a wholesome cup of coffee or perhaps a glass of milk for breakfast. Yes, that’s right, breakfast! You’ll get the dosage of sugar you need to go to work but your belly will be filled will love and appreciation; in the form of sugar cookies.
One could make a convincing argument, that there is no better expression of love than food. To make something with your own hands, taking care at the stage of the cooking process and then presenting it to your loved one in order to satisfy them, is such a wonderful gift. Homemade chocolate bars might sound simple, but you can add anything to them. Melt bars of white chocolate, throw in some butter and crushed roasted hazelnuts. Allow this mixture to set on non-stick baking sheets, on a baking tray and leave it to set in the fridge.

About one-third cup of vegetable oil, large eggs, yolk and all and around 16 ounces of cake frosting.
For the outer shell, melt around 500-700g of white chocolate melting wafers, or if you don’t have that use chips. A little lemon extract, butter to keep it rich and smooth and add in a few crushed pistachio nuts if you like. Melt this together and then begin cutting the cake into small cubes while it’s still hot out of the oven. Roll the pieces of cake into a ball and dip them into your chocolate. Wait for them to dry and then splash them with a little milk chocolate dusting. Serve with champagne and enjoy this mouth-watering dessert by the candles.
