Planning may sound tedious, but it actually saves time, energy and stress!

3. Keep Hunger at Bay with Snacks and Drinks

Pack plenty of snacks and drinks. Our drive from here to my mom’s is roughly 4 hours. I pack each one of the kids a small snack per hour and two bottles of water or Gatorade. Snacks are usually some cracker packs, fruit snacks, chips, or trail mix. I like to keep it simple. Be sure you have a trash bag or two on hand and in their reach so you don’t end up with a floor or seat full of their snack trash.

4. Keep the Kids Engaged with Games and Activities

Pack a bag with games or activities to keep the kids busy. We don’t have an entertainment system in our van so we rely on packing some favorite toys, color books, and travel games. A few of our favorites include Mickey Mouse Club House, Trolls Color Book, Magnetic Travel Board and Travel Scavenger Hunt Card Game.

My July Netflix Obsession | Once Upon A Time

Okay, so I know this started in 2011, and I had originally intended in watching the show because it looked like something I would enjoy. Well when the hubby is home he controls the remote so since it’s not something “up his ally” I never got to see it. Yes I know it’s been on Netflix for a while, and well I really have no excuse for not watching it, but this month I’m making up for lost time. I didn’t think I would be as obsessed with Once Upon A Time as I have become.
I’ve always loved fairy tales, and to add them to drama, twists, and real life was just genius! The friends and family that watch it, all seem to love the Evil Queen/Regina … I just can’t understand why..I love Snow White of course. I’ve always been more of a princess. Don’t get me wrong I do feel sorry for Regina and all that she’s been through, I just don’t get the whole revenge for something so innocently done.
For some reason I LOVE Rumpelstiltskin/Mr. Gold even though he is pretty much the cause for everything, and causes just as much pain and evil. There is just something about Regina I guess that I just love to hate.
One thing no one told me is that I would be crying on every episode, yes I’m a big baby…I just can’t help it.

Honestly, the kids never got to try them! My husband fell in love and ate them all, while we were on vacation at my moms! That says a lot, because he’s picky about his chips & snacks.
