I attended press events with Walt Disney Pictures and Disney XD, which included talent interviews and a tour of the Walk the Prank set at Paramount Pictures. This expenses paid trip to Los Angeles is offered in exchange for my coverage about the events. No other compensation is given. Of course, opinions and experiences are my own.
With each visit to L.A. I look forward to my Disney Studios visit…there’s nothing like walking around the lot star spotting (this last time we spotted KevinFeige, president of Marvel, shopping in the studio store). During my #JungleBookEvent visit we were also hitting the Paramount Studios Lot to visit the set of Disney XD’s new show “Walk The Prank” (airs Wednesday night’s at 8:30 p.m. EST)…I was so excited to not only see the set of “Walk the Prank, but to also visit another studio lot!
Before we hit the set, we were able to screen the first episode which had us all in stitches!
The set we visited is located on Stage 19, according to some, is haunted (go ahead, google it!) and may just add in some unscripted pranks in the future! This is the same stage that once filmed Happy Days, Wings and Ghost!
There’s nothing like a good prank show, as long as the prank is not on me…We grew up with shows like Candid Camera, Punk’d, Scare Tactics & Impractical Jokers…and now generation z has their own show to laugh with…”Walk The Prank.”

An innovative new format that blends scripted comedy with real hidden-camera pranks, “Walk the Prank” follows a team of practical jokesters who create hilarious over-the- top pranks for an online hidden camera show of the same name. The series showcases the natural comedic talent and improvisational skills of new young stars including Cody Veith as the cool, confident Chance, Bryce Gheisar as Chance’s younger brother Herman, Jillian Shea Spaeder as the tech-savvy Bailey, Brandon Severs as Chance’s best friend Dusty, and Tobie Windham as Will, Dusty’s uncle.
The scripted storylines center on the four kids antics in school and at home, which provide a source of inspiration for their pranks. The real and outlandish hidden-camera pranks, seen throughout each episode, capture genuine reactions from unsuspecting strangers. “Walk the Prank” is created and executive produced by Adam Small (“Mad TV”) and Trevor Moore (“Whitest Kids U Know.”). The series is from Horizon Productions and carries a TV-Y7 parental guideline.
Let me tell you, these actors are just as funny in person as they are in the show! It helps to have a naturally funny person when creating a prank show. We were able to chat with Tobie Windham who stars as Will, Dusty’s uncle who owns a joke shop and helps guides the team of young pranksters. This man loves to have a good time and is not afraid to throw down some robot when asked to. While there we were also able to see some of the scripted bits for episode 14 being shot!
The Paramount Studio Lot is just as you would imagine, lined with bright flowers and palm trees, and has a great view of the iconic Hollywood sign.

Now that the New Year is here, we’re all thinking about goals for 2015. It’s no surprise that getting fit and losing weight are among the most popular resolutions. But when it comes to fitness goals, it can be difficult to tell fact from fiction. Common misconceptions and myths can get in the way of our fitness success.

“I need to spend at least one hour in the gym to see results.” Absolutely NOT! Research shows you can actually achieve better results doing 15 minutes of interval training three times a week.
“I’m exercising, so I can eat whatever I want.” Think again. Diet is still important, so if you want to lose weight, you’ll need to eat fewer calories than you burn in your daily workout routine.
“If I eat organic or gluten-free, I’ll lose weight.” Not true. While there are many benefits, as with any diet plan, make sure to evaluate your overall caloric intake – you can still over eat.
“Fitness shakes are only for bulking up.” Not necessarily. Fitness shakes are actually a great way to maintain the healthy diet necessary to reach individual fitness goals whether that is weight loss or muscle gain.

I will be heading out on Thursday, February 5th and returning on Sunday, February 8. My boys just love Baymax, they’ve even gone from exploding their fists, to the wiggling their fingers…
There will also be a special press day at DisneyToon Studios for the In-Home release of “Tinker Bell and the Legend of the Neverbeast” where I’ll interview the filmmakers and Ginnifer.Goodwin! Ok, I’m going to be honest here, I love & catch every TinkerBell movie out there! My boys even get me a TinkerBell cake for my birthday, so I’m excited to meet Ginnifer Goodwin (voice of Fawn), who also happens to play Snow White in Once Upon A Time, & Gizmo Gwen in Sofia The First as well as many other rolls.

We will also preview two soon-to-air episodes of ABC’s new family comedy, “Fresh Off the Boat,”(sampled twice in ABC’s Wednesday night comedy block on Wednesday, February 4th at both 8:30 and 9:31 p.m., followed by its time slot premiere on Tuesday, February 10th at 8:00 p.m., ET) and meet with the show’s Writer and Executive Producer Nahnatchka Kahn as well as available cast from the show! If you haven’t seen the trailer, you should check it out, it had me laughing out loud!
And finally, we will also screen the upcoming Disney Channel Film BAD HAIR DAY (premiering Friday, February 13th at 8:00 p.m., ET/PT) followed by a Q+A with star and Executive Producer Leigh-Allyn Baker! I’ve seen previews for this and am looking forward to seeing it!
