Don’t get me wrong, I can appreciate all types of shoes, but I tend to buy a certain brand of tennis shoes. It’s not as if I have anything against the other brands, It’s just a brand that i have come to trust, and know they fit me properly…even though I have that favorite brand, I found a new tennis shoe that I just had to try…New Life Shoes make a Maternity Tennis Shoe!! Who would have guess a shoe just for preggers .I got my shoes just about two weeks ago, and have traded out my favorite brand for these… Not surprisingly, the idea for New Life Shoes originated in a doctor’s office. Stephen Blank, M.D, a practicing OB-GYN in Atlanta, conducted exhaustive surveys of expectant mothers and heard an oft-repeated complaint: their feet were killing them. And there seemed to be no shoes that provided the relief, comfort, fit and support sought by the soon-to-be moms. A solution was needed. So Dr. Blank began working with shoe business veterans, Tom Adams and Mark Connors. Armed with Dr. Blank’s vision and a combined 80 years of industry expertise between them, they fashioned a cushiony, stylish shoe that pregnant women could easily adjust without bending over thanks to New Life’s ingenious Z-Fit System. Thoughts:
I’ve been wearing them for about 2 weeks now, The shoes are easy to put on, and adjust. You slip them on, then pull the side strap to tighten. The sole has just enough cushion to keep your feet comfortable all day. The only thing that was a little annoyance…was the strap that crosses the toe area…but when I’m not in my tennie’s I’m in flip flops, and i think that has a lot to do with it..I’m just not used to the to restrictions. Other than that It is a very unique strap design that is very useful in the later stages of pregnancy! I would give these shoes two thumbs up for comfort, and ease of use. These are a great addition to my “non” maternity brand! i will sport these even after my feet quite swelling!

Are you ready for another Easter? It will be here before you know it. Today’s recipe is not only fun to make, but its fun to eat!
Strawberry Carrots in Dirt Cups: *Printable Version Below
Ingredients:
Carrot Strawberries:
Strawberries, rinsed and dried
Bag of Orange Candy Melts
Carrot Pudding Cups:
Crushed Oreos
1 box Chocolate Pudding
Milk (required number of cups on pudding box)
Carrot Chocolate Covered Strawberries
Additional Materials:
Clear cups
Parchment paper
Plastic baggie and scissors
Directions:
1. Line baking sheet or pan with parchment paper. Melt orange candy melts. Holding strawberries by the stems, dip them into orange candy to coat and place on parchment paper.
2. Take a sandwich bag and cut a tiny tip of it off for the chocolate drizzle. Spoon remaining melted orange candy into the bag. Gently drizzle the chocolate from side to side over the strawberries on parchment paper.
3. Prepare the pudding cups by adding 2 tablespoons crushed Oreos to the bottom of each cup.
4. Make pudding as directed on box. Pour pudding into cup over crushed Oreos and then top with more crushed Oreos. Place carrot chocolate covered strawberry in center.
5. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
