Yes, I’m on my fourth baby and yet I still have so many baby products to explore! It seems like there is so many new things every time I have a baby! Now cloth diapering is not new, but it is new to me! I was so excited about trying Buttons Cloth Diapers that I put it on the next diaper change after I washed it! I love that there are tons of buttons for a custom fit for newborns to toddlers! Just purchase the inserts that fit your needs snap it in and put it on. They look great and hold really well! I wanted to really test it..it lasted through a two hour nap and a run to get brothers from school! Now that’s a good hold, some disposables don’t even hold that well! When it’s time to change I just unsnap the insert and snap a new one in…simple! Easy to use & comes in a rainbow of colors to match anything you put your baby in…who doesn’t love that! I love that they come in boutique style packaging! They fit little man great, and I’m glad to know that it can grow with him! I’m already shopping for other inserts and colors I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Captain Barbossa came in at the beginning as a bit of a frightening mystery. We’ve watched him die and return and even join the British army. We were able to sit down with Geoffery Rush and talk about his role as Captain Barbossa and how he pulls it all off. Yes, we’re talking Barbossa facts, Peg Legs & Monkeys.
Q. You played a different part of yourself in this film. So, how did it feel to take on a different Barbossa?
A. It’s something that happened over the first four films. Before he actually entered into the story, he was described rather fearfully by the two pirates that “He’s spat out from the mouth of hell.” After the curse was broken over the next few films he began to transition into who he is in Dead Men Tell No Tales.
Q. You and Johnny have a great back and forth. Was that natural, or did you have to work on that?
A. “The scripts are always pretty good. They know where the relationship is — we’ve sort of decided now that the black pearl is our mutual girlfriend and we both want her. Then chances are that Jack Sparrow will end up with the ship, which he does — but that sense of harmony’s never gonna stay there.”
Q. I wanna know about that peg leg. Did you actually have to walk with it, or how did all that work?
A. Back in the days when Robert Newton played Long John Silver, he did with the leg strapped up, which would’ve been painful. “I went down that path and talked to a prosthetician who specializes with amputees.” But it takes these people maybe 12 to 18 months to really get all their musculature and their core muscles to kind of realign. “And when I had it strapped up, I couldn’t stand up. I said you know what? I’ll act the leg.” He ended up wearing a blue screen stocking and made the heal the “point” of the peg.
Facts About Geoffery Rush & Barbossa:
Geoffery worked with 3 Monkeys during the 5 films TARA for film 1, & PABLO and CHIQUITA for the other 4.
The trainer has full control over the monkeys’ performance even using water pistols at times to control focus.
PABLO was excited to see Geoffery after their five-year separation between filmings & at the end of filming gave him a painting he’d made.
Johnny liked the idea of British rock stars of the ‘60s look ’cause the pirates always had clear-cut identities.
Barbossa is a control freak and he loves thinking he’s the most powerful person on the planet.
Barbossa isn’t somebody with any sense of personal style whatsoever

Brownie Brittle has been enjoyed by our family for a few months as we had found it in World Market and thought we would give it a try. Brownie Brittle sent me their NEW 1oz Single Serve Bags which features Paddington – hitting theaters January 16th – in Chocolate Chip & Salted Caramel, which started my inspiration for the “English” toffee I’m about to share with you.
They also sent me the Toffee Crunch which is a great side snack to the Salted Caramel Brownie Brittle English Toffee.
If you have kids, chances are you’ve heard of Paddington, but just in case you haven’t check out this fun and adorable trailer for the upcoming film…
Now the recipe you’ve been waiting for!
INGREDIENTS
Toffee
1 cup butter 1 cup sugar 2 tablespoons water 1/8 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
8 ounces chocolate bark
Topping
1/4 cup pecans, finely chopped 1/4 cup Brownie Brittle, finely chopped 1/2 tsp Corse Sea Salt
Caramel Drizzle
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 350F. Toast the chopped pecans on a baking sheet in the oven for 6 to 8 minutes, or until fragrant.
With heavy-duty aluminum foil, form a 10-inch square shell with 1-inch high sides. Place the foil shell on a baking sheet, and set aside.
In a heavy saucepan, cook the butter, sugar, water, and salt over medium heat until the temperature reaches 305F (hard-crack stage), stirring occasionally (watch closely after it reaches 290F because the temperature will increase rapidly). When the mixture becomes dark golden brown, immediately remove the pan from the heat. Stir in the vanilla extract. Pour the mixture into the foil shell. It will spread but may not reach the edges of the square. Skore toffee with back of knife to help the chocolate stick. Cool at room temperature for 45 minutes, or until hard. Wipe off any access liquid that may have puddled on the top.
Melt the chocolate according to instructions on the side of package. Spread melted chocolate over the cooled toffee, and sprinkle with the pecans, & Brownie Brittle pressing lightly to set into chocolate. Drizzle with caramel & sprinkle corse sea salt. Let set at room temperature 1 hour, or until the chocolate is set. Break toffee into pieces. Store covered at room temperature for up to 1 month.
